About
Blitzball is a free, browser-based rocket dodgeball game. One homing rocket, a well-timed deflect, and a rally that gets faster until someone misreads it. No download, no install, just open the page and play.
Blitzball takes one simple, addictive idea and builds a whole game around it: a rocket that chases you, and the split-second airblast that sends it back. There is no inventory to manage, no long tutorial to sit through, and no install. The entire game is the read and the deflect, which means it is easy to pick up and genuinely hard to master. A first-time player can survive a round in their first few minutes; getting good enough to steer the rocket exactly where you want takes much longer.
It runs entirely in the browser using WebGL, on desktop and on mobile with full touch controls. You can play solo against bots to learn, jump into live online arenas, or host a private match for friends with a single share link.
Blitzball is rocket dodgeball, inspired by the classic TF2 Dodgeball community gamemode where players airblast a homing rocket back and forth until someone gets caught. If you have enjoyed deflect-the-projectile games such as Blade Ball, or the Genji deflect playstyle in Overwatch, the core will feel familiar. Blitzball takes that catch-it-and-throw-it-back loop and makes it the entire game: faithful timing, escalating speed, and a deflect that doubles as your only weapon.
A lot of care goes into the part you never see. The game is built so it loads fast and runs smoothly in a normal browser tab, with the simulation kept lightweight so matches stay responsive even on modest hardware and over real internet connections. Online matches run on dedicated servers that scale up as more people play, and the whole thing is designed around feel: low-latency input, clean visuals that keep the fast-moving rocket readable, and procedural audio so there is nothing heavy to download.
Blitzball is updated regularly with new arenas, cosmetics, modes, and tuning. New content arrives without you ever needing to update an app, because there is no app: refresh the page and you have the latest version.
The best place to find other players, share feedback, and hear about updates is the community Discord. For anything else, including support, business, and privacy or data requests, email is the way to reach us.
